Hello [#FULLNAME#],

Report From Hati

After rain comes sunshine.

Last week caused us more heartache and sorrow than we used to have in a year.
We lost 7 young children within a week. A father lost his 2 sons within two days.
We all were disappointed in our ability to help the people and especially the children.
Many times we thought about it and how to prevent this but it is all related with the poverty in this country, the shortage of food and the bad infrastructure.

But blessings followed:
Last Sunday 2 helicopters of the World Food Program / U.N. landed in Passe Catabois 5 times to deliver food.

What a joy and excitement. So much effort from people in Port au Prince, United States (rice) , Canada (corn soya) , Ukraine (helicopter & pilots) and other countries to help feed the Haitians.

Rob went to Anse Rouge last Saturday with the tractor and trailer.
He mentioned that there was no road anymore. It took him many hours to get back home but he came with the food and medicines that M.A.F. and other people bought.  Another blessing!

Every day more and more patients come to the clinic. They are sick, hungry and tired. We preach the gospel and they do realize that even when they lost their gardens, houses and animals, they themselves still live and we should be thanking God for this.

In these difficult times we try to help the Haitians as much as we can. We will start with a new program Saturday. This means that we go out to the people and visit them at their huts/homes and we will try to help them in case of sickness, malnutrition etc.
End this week a former missionary (Miss Wil) in Haiti from Holland will join us. Together we make a great team to show to the people how big Jesus’ love for them is.

Blessings to your hearts,

Rob & Anne-Marie
