FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR

"Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take." Proverb 3:6 ____________________________________________________________________________ "I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses." (Joshua 1:3) A Journey of a Million Miles
"For I am about to do someting new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will created rivers in the dry wasteland." (Isaiah 43:19)
Someone once said that perfection in this life is to become what God wants us to become. At the age of fifty, I could not help wonder what lie ahead - old age in a rocking chair; physical limitations; health deteriation; financial problems? Quite frankly, I was angry, and for a short time I sat around feeling sorry for myself. Then I started to collaborate with an older friend by writing a book entitled, "The Best Is Yet To Come." Circumstances did not allow us to complete our project, but I certainly learned that our usefulness does not expire until we do. God has a purpose and plan for our life right up to the very end.
"Have you never heard or understood? Don't you know that the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait upon the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will not faint." (Isaiah 40:28-31)
Wow! Does it matter that I have had several heart attacks and Bypass surgery? Does it matter that Maggie, my wife and partner, had neurosurgery for a brain tumor? No! As Christ told Paul, "My grce is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Now, at the age of sixty-five, God spoke to me and said, "This is your time! Both Maggie and I are in better physical condition than we have been in years. A few months ago, we committed our small retiremnt funds to travel the world, not as tourist, but to pray and minister to those He leads us to. "God has given us the task of letting the world know that if they trust Christ, they can enjoy eternal life and an intimate relationship with God." (2 Corinthians 5:19)
God has given us assignments; we will go where he sends us, to declare and proclaim the decrees of heaven, preparing the ground for the seed of the word of God. (See Luke 10:1-12) The first part of our journey will take us to Southeast Asia with a slight detour to Puerto Rico and Haiti.. This website will record the journey and our encounters.

Lessons learned and to be learned “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have it full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4) There are great lessons to be learned as we look back on the stages of our lives. What we are today is not the same as what we were years ago. This is true for individuals, families, communities, nations, and the world. People were made to develop over time. We don’t stay the same from year to year. “Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.” (Numbers 33:1) Our lives are continually changing. We don’t stay the same. Our spiritual lives are constantly being developed. Looking back, we can see how the hand of God has sustained us through the years, protected us and brought us out of danger, and drew close into an intimate relationship with him. The lives of George and Margaret Keller have been brought closer to perfection through trials and disappointments. (See their story). “He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.” (Deuteronomy 8:3) George and Margaret cried out to God and He heard them. They have dedicated their lives to reach out to others with love and compassion. Blessed with a special measure of love, the Holy Spirit leads them to pray for those who are hurting and to tell how He delivered them out of the desert. They have been called to be a blessing to others and to be used by God to make Him know to others.
